The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently updated Home Health Compare to include a 5 star rating system to measure agencies’ relative, overall performance on nine of the 29 quality measures posted on Home Health Compare.
McLeod Home Health is pleased to share that it received 4.5 stars for the Home Health Quality of Patient Care Star Rating, a rating earned by only 8.3% of the 9,000 home health agencies measured. Additionally, only 2% of home health agencies in South Carolina achieved this rating. The system ranks providers in two categories: Quality of Patient Care and Patient Satisfaction.
McLeod Home Health has also been named to the Top 500 of the 2016 HomeCare Elite,® a recognition of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States. Winners are ranked by an analysis of publicly available performance measures in quality outcomes, best practice (process measure) implementation, patient experience (Home Health CAHPS®), quality improvement and consistency, and financial performance. Out of 9,406 agencies considered, 2,353 are recognized on the 2016 HomeCare Elite winners list overall.
