Heather McKenzie, a McLeod Flight Nurse, explains the lifesaving features of McLeod Air Reach to Camp Pee Dee Pride Campers.

McLeod Air Reach, McLeod HeartReach, McLeod ChildReach, and McLeod Safe Kids visited Camp Pee Dee Pride at Francis Marion University on June 8.

The McLeod Emergency Transport Teams offered tours of their vehicles and McLeod Safe Kids educated the children on the importance of water safety and staying hydrated in the heat.

Camp Pee Dee Pride, hosted by the Florence Sheriff’s Department, is in their 24th year of camp. They started in 1997 with 43 campers and over the years have  hosted more than 6,700 campers to their week-long free camp funded through community support including McLeod Health.
