For the sixth consecutive year, McLeod Regional Medical Center has received theAmerican College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award. McLeod is one of only 262 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor and one of eight hospitals in the state of South Carolina for 2023.

Dr. Alan Blaker, Executive Medical Director, McLeod Heart & Vascular Institute; Amanda Butler, Vice President, McLeod Heart & Vascular Institute; and Debbie Whisenhunt, Cardiology Outreach Coordinator, celebrated with the cardiology teams from McLeod Regional Medical Center on August 4th.

“This award is a team effort involving medical providers, nurses, technicians, and EMS all working collectively to care for heart attack patients,” said Dr. Blaker. “It is through their hard work and dedication that patients receive such excellent care. They are key to us achieving this award, and we thank everyone for their important work.”
