McLeod Health welcomes Matthew Weeks, MD to the medical staff.
Dr. Weeks has been named Vice President of Medical Affairs & Chief Medical Officer for McLeod Loris Seacoast. Prior to joining the senior leadership team at McLeod Loris Seacoast, Dr. Weeks earned his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and completed his pediatric residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. He also completed additional training in leadership at the Harvard School of Public Health. In his role, Dr. Weeks is responsible for enhancing relationships and communications with the medical staff and assisting area physicians. He ensures appropriate physician education, peer review, and quality assurance systems are in place to fulfill the goals of McLeod Health. He also assists in patient care, facilitates admissions, and works to improve the quality of safety, science and service at McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast and McLeod Health Carolina Forest. In addition to his leadership duties, Dr. Weeks will also serve as a pediatrician covering the newborn nursery at McLeod Health Loris.
