Dr. Jones, a general surgeon, joins fellow surgeons Dr. Cary Brewton, Dr. John Gause, Dr. Amy Murrell, Dr. Keith Player, Dr. Mark Reynolds, Dr. John Richey, Dr. John Sonfield, and Dr. Johnson Walker in practice with Pee Dee Surgical Group. A native of Sumter, Dr. Jones comes to McLeod following the completion of his residency training at Prisma Health Richland and he follows in the healthcare footsteps of his mother, McLeod Nurse Practitioner Cornelia Jones, AGNP-C, with McLeod Health Clarendon. Dr. Jones received his medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine-Spartanburg in 2017 and completed a surgical internship at Detroit Medical Center/Sinai Grace Hospital in 2018. He completed his Residency in General Surgery at Prisma Health Richland, Columbia, SC, in 2022, serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Kaufman, a urologist, joins Dr. Ronald Glinski and Dr. George Salama as part of McLeod Urology Associates in Florence. A native of New York, Dr. Kaufman moved to southeast with his family as a child and was raised and educated in Georgia. Prior to his medical training, he received his undergraduate degree in Physics from Georgia Southern University in 2012. Board Eligible in Urology, Dr. Kaufman comes to McLeod following the completion of his urology residency training at Augusta University Health, Augusta, GA, 2022. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta in 2017. Dr. Kaufman and his wife, Habiba, have three children, two girls and boy.
