McLeod Health Welcomes These New Physicians

McLeod Health welcomes Farrah R. Thompson, DO, and Jesse Thompson, DO, to the medical staff.

Dr. Farrah Thompson joins the Critical Care Specialists of McLeod Regional Medical Center. She comes to McLeod following the completion of her fellowship training in Critical Care at Prisma Health/University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia. A native of Pennsylvania, Dr. Thompson was drawn to critical care medicine as it offers the ability to provide care for some of the most seriously ill patients and guidance for their families. She received her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Prior to her fellowship, she completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Prisma Health/University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Thompson enjoys interior design, painting, antiquing, and spending time with her husband, McLeod Hospitalist Dr. Jesse Thompson, and their two dogs. For more information, call 843-777-5753.

Dr. Jesse Thompson joins the Department of Inpatient Medicine at McLeod Regional Medical Center as a Hospitalist. A native of Georgia, Dr. Thompson comes to McLeod having completed his Internal Medicine Residency and serving on medical staff as a Hospitalist with Prisma Health Midlands Hospital System. Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Thompson enjoys helping acutely ill patients and navigating a variety of different health conditions in the hospital setting. He received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to his medical interests, Dr. Thompson is a writer, avid reader, and fan of movies. He and his wife, McLeod Intensivist Dr. Farrah Rink Thompson, enjoy spending time together with their dogs, Felix and Lily. For more information, call 843-777-5753.
