McLeod Health welcomes Kyle Burke, DO, and Megan Laughrey, MD, to the medical staff.

Dr. Burke joins the practice of McLeod Family Medicine Center. In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Burke serves as a faculty member for the McLeod Family Medicine Residency Program. A native of Chelmsford, MA, helping care for his grandfather during his illness is what brought Dr. Burke to a career in medicine. With Family Medicine, Dr. Burke enjoys the diversity the specialty provides, which allows him to care for patients of all ages. His medical interests include chronic care management, behavioral and mental health, preventive care, and community health engagement. Dr. Burke is working alongside faculty member Dr. Mark Jones in growing the Osteopathic segment of the program for Florence and works closely with the rural programs in Cheraw and Clarendon. Board Certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Burke received his medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Carolinas Campus, Spartanburg, SC, and completed his Family Medicine Residency at Penn State Health/Milton S. Dr. Laughrey rovides primary care services to the Horry County community at McLeod Primary Care Carolina Forest 2. Dr. Laughrey serves McLeod Health patients alongside Dr. Jason Harrah and Tara Bruno, FNP. Dr. Laughrey cares for patients 10 years of age and older. She manages chronic conditions, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. She has a passion for women’s health and mental health. She also enjoys preventative medicine such as pap smears and other cancer screenings. Dr. Laughrey received her medical degree from Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine Miami, FL  and completed her Family Medicine Residency with Tidelands Health MUSC Myrtle Beach.
