McLeod Health welcomes Nicholas Koroneos, DO, and Palmer Freshley, DO, to the medical staff.
Dr. Koroneos is a Neurologist serving patients at McLeod Neurology Seacoast. He comes to McLeod Health from Stony Brook University Hospital where he completed his residency in adult neurology and served as chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in vascular neurology and was inducted into the National Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society during his fellowship. Dr. Koroneos is highly skilled in treating patients with complex cerebrovascular, Central, and Peripheral Nervous System disorders. These conditions include stroke, cerebrovascular disease, headaches, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and neuropathy. A native of Long Island, New York, Dr. Koroneos and his wife Amanda reside in Carolina Forest with their daughter Sophia. Dr. Freshley joins McLeod Orthopaedics Seacoast from Medical College of Georgia – Augusta University, in Augusta, GA, following the completion of his fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine. Board Certified in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine, he received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, in 2019, and completed his Family Medicine Residency at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Greenville. Dr. Freshley specializes in nonoperative musculoskeletal care, injections, ultrasound guided procedures, Orthobiologics, concussion management, and a variety of athletic injuries like strains, sprains, tendinitis, and fractures.
