McLeod Health welcomes Michael C. Corso, MD, and W. Mark Jones, DO, to the medical staff.

Dr. Corso serves patients alongside Dr. Joslyn Angus, Dr. Prakash Beeraka, Dr. Yvette Mbangowah, and Nurse Practitioner Allison Slice as part of Jeter-Skinner Family Practice. As a family medicine physician, Dr. Corso embraces the opportunity to follow his patients as needed in the hospital setting in addition to their wellness and sick visit appointments in the office. Additional medical interests include Lifestyle medicine, in which he is currently pursuing training and certification. A native of South Carolina raised in the midlands and upstate, Dr. Corso follows in the medical footsteps of his father who is an oncologist. Board Certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Corso received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2019 and is a 2023 graduate of the McLeod Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Jones joins the practice of McLeod Family Medicine Center. In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Jones will serve as a faculty member for the McLeod Family Medicine Residency Program. A native of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, becoming a physician was a life-long calling for Dr. Jones. With Family Medicine, he enjoys the diversity the specialty provides, which allows him to care for patients of all ages. His medical interests include osteopathic manipulative therapy, women’s health, and office-based procedures. Dr. Jones received his medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Carolinas Campus in Spartanburg in 2019 and is a 2023 graduate of the McLeod Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program. The South Carolina Osteopathic Medical Society presented Dr. Jones with its 2023 Resident of the Year Award on June 8 at their Annual Meeting.
