Dave and Daphne Aycock of Florence find fulfillment in giving to the McLeod Health Foundation, knowing that their donations directly support patients and families cared for at McLeod Health.

From an humble upbringing, Dave Aycock had an illustrious career with Nucor Steel, retiring as the Chairman and CEO in 2001. His wife, Daphne, supported him throughout his career, and together, they have used their financial success to support those who haven’t been so richly blessed. As a member of the McLeod Fellow’s program, Dave learned firsthand how McLeod Health cares directly for patients in need. Patients and families throughout the region have benefited because of Dave and Daphne’s support of the LIFT program and HOPE Fund for cancer patients, McLeod Children’s Hospital and McLeod Hospice. “Because we have been blessed, we want to bless others who do not have the economic means to access health care,” says Dave. “In addition, we give to the McLeod Health Foundation knowing that our support helps fulfill the mission of McLeod Health.”
