McLeod Health began its outreach into Carolina Forest in 2016 to meet the expanding healthcare needs of the Myrtle Beach area. A 43-acre campus, McLeod Health Carolina Forest will be home to a seven-building campus offering a variety of services including a new hospital.
Currently, we have several buildings that house a wide variety of physician practices and outpatient services including Cardiology, Vascular, Neurology, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Rehabilitation, and a free-standing Emergency Department.
This past spring, McLeod Health broke ground on a new hospital at McLeod Health Carolina Forest. This $56 million, four-story, 48-bed facility. The construction project is expected to take two years to complete with an anticipated opening in 2026. This will be the first new hospital built in Horry County since McLeod Health Seacoast opened in 2011.
McLeod Health commits itself to providing treatment, services, and healthcare that’s important to you – just as we have in our other communities from the Midlands to the Coast.
