McLeod Hospice will celebrate the 39th Annual “A Light for Someone You Love” Tree Lighting Ceremony, presented by Signature Wealth Strategies, in Florence on December 5, 2024, at 5:45 p.m. The ceremony will be held at McLeod Regional Medical Center.
This year, the McLeod Hospice Tree Lighting will feature very special participants. Ronald Fowler will welcome guests on behalf of the McLeod Health Board of Trustees. Will McLeod, CEO for McLeod Regional Medical Center, will emcee the program. Chip Munn with Signature Wealth Strategies will provide the Dedication Ceremony and Chaplain Layne Rogerson will lead the lighting of the candles. The Savannah Grove Baptist Church Praise Team will also perform, and Lay Minister Ann Orr will offer the closing prayer.
The family of the late Freddie Saunders will have the honor of lighting the lights, representing all of the families McLeod Hospice has served this year.
An annual fundraising event to support the McLeod Hospice program, this event is free and open to the public. Many of our families use this as a time to purchase a light in memory or honor of someone ($25 donation per light) as a way to provide support for this compassionate care. Names of those remembered are included in the printed program that evening.
Please be sure to include the name(s) of those you would like to remember as well as the name and address of anyone you would like to acknowledge of your gift. Proceeds raised through the tree lighting will directly benefit McLeod Hospice.
“The Light for Someone You Love” program is sponsored by the McLeod Health Foundation to directly benefit McLeod Hospice. Gifts represent the light of hope to McLeod Hospice patients and their families. McLeod Hospice serves patients in Chesterfield, Clarendon, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Horry, Lee, Marion, Marlboro, Sumter and Williamsburg counties.
