Too much bad cholesterol can increase your chance of having heart disease, stroke, and other serious health problems, according to McLeod Interventional Cardiology Dr. Brian Blaker.
“Having high cholesterol can increase your risk for heart disease, heart attack or stroke. Luckily, cholesterol can be lowered by taking the necessary steps to make your heart-healthy lifestyle changes. To lower your cholesterol, it is important to eat as close to a plant-based diet as possible, with lots of fruit, vegetables and whole grains. Try to lose extra pounds and maintain a healthy weight.
