Middle School Day for students in Florence 1 Schools was held at McLeod Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, April 8. More than 60 students from Moore, Sneed, Williams and Southside Middle Schools were treated to an inside look at healthcare careers. McLeod Educators and 65 nursing students and surgical technician students from Florence-Darlington Technical College provided lab simulations for hands-on experience.
Dr. Matthew Johnson, Chief Operating Officer for McLeod Health, provided the welcome to the students. “You have to try many new things to see if it fits before you land on your career path,” said Dr. Johnson. “We are grateful to be here today for you as you begin your journey.”
