Staff with the McLeod Center for Cancer Treatment and Research in Florence recently raised funds within their departments and purchased items to provide Thanksgiving food boxes for 100 patients served by the McLeod Cancer Clinic and HOPE Fund.

Led by Sarah Beth Averette, the HOPE Fund Coordinator, and Beth Epps, the Lung Cancer Nurse Navigator, the teams of Infusion Services, Radiation Oncology, Breast Imaging, McLeod Oncology and Hematology Associates, the Inpatient Oncology Unit and Cancer Coordination gathered on November 5 to pack the boxes.

Thanks to these staff members, many of our cancer patients in need will be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with their family and friends this year.
