McLeod Health welcomes Kia Persaud, MD, and Jonessa Villanueva, MD, to the medical staff.

Dr. Persaud is a Rheumatologist caring for patients at McLeod Rheumatology Seacoast. She comes to McLeod Health from Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Persaud received her medical degree from University of the West Indies, Kingston, Jamaica in 2016. In 2022, Dr. Persaud completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Towson, Maryland, followed by a Fellowship in Rheumatology from Medstar Washington Hospital Center earlier this year. Dr. Persaud treats patients with musculoskeletal and inflammatory conditions such as autoimmune diseases, arthritis, and other diseases of the joints, muscles, and bones. In her free time, Dr. Persaud enjoys the mild weather at the coast and participating in outdoor activities like biking, hiking, and kayaking. For more information, call 843-366-3060. 

Dr. Villanueva is a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician caring for patients at McLeod Primary Care North Myrtle Beach. She treats a broad spectrum of adult health care needs, ranging from primary care to more complicated medical needs including heart disease, diabetes, lung disease, kidney disease, and multi-system diseases. Dr. Villanueva received her medical degree from University of Santo Tomas, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Espana, Manila, Philippines and completed her Internal Medicine Residency with the University of Connecticut, Farmington.
