Dr. Pande Appointed to McLeod Loris Seacoast Community Board

Dr. Amit V. Pande has been appointed by the McLeod Health Board of Trustees to serve as the board liaison for the McLeod Loris Seacoast Community Board of Directors. He has served as a member of the McLeod Health Board of Trustees since 2021.

Comprised of 15 members, including four physicians, the McLeod Loris Seacoast Community Board of Directors serves as an advisory board for McLeod Health on matters that pertain to McLeod Loris Seacoast Hospital and the Coastal region. Forming a bridge between physicians, management, the community, and the McLeod Health Board of Trustees, the Community Board members review information on the quality of care provided to patients while offering quality oversight. These members study strategic issues and challenges facing the three McLeod hospital campuses in the coastal region and offer recommendations to the McLeod Health Board of Trustees and local management. The Community Board Members are selected by the McLeod Health Board of Trustees.

Dr. Pande has cared for patients in the coastal region of the Carolinas since 2003. He has served on the medical staff of the former Loris Community Hospital, McLeod Health Seacoast, and in practice with McLeod Cardiology Associates.

Dr. Pande received his medical degree from Government Medical College in Nagpur, India, followed by completion of a Cardiology Fellowship at Grant Medical College and Sir J. J. Group of Hospitals in Bombay, India. Dr. Pande next completed an Internal Medicine residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

While at Cook County Hospital, Dr. Pande was a Fellow in Cardiology and was appointed Chief Fellow for the year 2002 – 2003. He received a Fellow Teaching Award for outstanding skills and a Clinical Skills and Scholarship Award at Cook County Hospital. Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Dr. Pande is currently a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the South Carolina Medical Association.

He and his wife, Dr. Meenakshi Pande, have two children.
