The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce Leadership Florence class visited McLeod Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, November 8.
Jumana Swindler, Vice President of Communications and Public Information, welcomed the group and provided an overview of McLeod Health. Will McLeod, CEO of McLeod Regional Medical Center, also presented to the class on the many services offered at the hospital and the new areas and procedures that have been added or expanded such as thrombectomy and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department.
During their visit, the group walked to McLeod Pavilion East where they toured the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Postpartum/GYN floor, and the forensic exam room. They also met Leslie Rogers, Director of the NICU; Georgia Beasley, Postpartum/GYN Director of Nursing; Jennifer Desai, Director of Labor & Delivery; Shannon Scott, Forensic Nurse Program Coordinator; and McLeod OB/GYN Dr. Eric Coughlin.
