Q: How can I schedule an appointment?
All radiological exams (with the exception of screening mammography screening) require a physician order. Scheduling for radiology services at all McLeod Hospitals are completed by McLeod Reservations and Scheduling. They can be reached at (843) 777-2095.

Q: Are same and next day appointments available?
Yes, in most instances. It depends upon the pre-authorization required by some insurance companies and availability.

Q: How do I schedule my annual screening mammogram?
McLeod Health offers 3D Mammography at its Florence, Cheraw, Clarendon, Dillon, Loris and Seacoast locations as well as on the McLeod Mobile Mammography Unit.

Q: What do I need to do to get ready for my exam?
Individual procedure preparation varies. Please refer to the individual radiology technology pages on this website for information specific to your test/procedure.

Q: What happens after my procedure?
After your procedure, your images will be read by one of our board-certified radiologists. This information will be placed in a written report and sent to the physician who ordered your test/procedure. Please contact the physician who ordered your test for your results.

Q: When will I get my results?
Through the use of innovative technology, such as Voice Recognition and Autofax, physicians receive timely report results from McLeod Radiology. Most reports are interpreted within 24 hours after the completion of your procedure. However, if outside images are needed to interpret a study, additional time may be required.

Q: How can I obtain my radiology results to take to a new specialist?
Your specialist can call McLeod Radiology Services at (843) 777-2087 and request a copy of the report. Patients of McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence may also stop by McLeod Radiology in the McLeod Tower (555 E. Cheves Street, Florence) to obtain a copy of the report. You will be required to complete and sign an authorization form.

Q: How can I obtain a copy of my images?
You can request a copy of your study by contacting McLeod Radiology Services at (843) 777-2087. Please allow 24 hours for the request to be completed. Images will be provided via CD only and require an authorization to be completed and signed.

Q: How can I have my images from other hospitals (prior images) sent to McLeod radiologists to compare when they interpret my current images?
